It's Alive!!! (Corrado TDI Edition)

A year ago this unfortunate 1992 VW Corrado SLC fell into my possession after being disassembled and passed around by many who had given up on it. When I dragged it home there was no engine, transmission, headlights, radiator, etc... I worked on it on and off as time and parts permitted and am happy to say that it's finally got some life again - only this time with a 1.9 TDI from a 1997 Passat! With over 18 Gallons of fuel capacity and what should be an impressive MPG figure - this thing should have some serious range! check out the first drive below:

Factory Five sighting

I was greeted with an interesting stop on the way home from work today, a stop that any car guy could appreciate. As I was passing the Chevron I spotted a Factory Five truck offloading a car for a customer and stopped to take a closer look. I'm not sure which was more impressive - the car or the rig he was delivering with! You decide:
